Is Britain Trading The Bible For Sharia

The title on my thumbnail today is entitled, Is Britain trading the Bible for sharia? Recently, I came across a post on Peter Sweden’s Twitter page that shocked me. It reported that the British government had advertised for a Sharia Law Administrator in Manchester on their official website, with a salary of £23,500 per year. Although the advert has since been deleted following backlash, the very fact that it appeared raises deep concerns about the direction our country is heading.

Britain was built on strong Christian foundations. These principles shaped our laws, guided our justice system, and gave us freedom and stability. Yet today, it seems we are slowly moving away from these values, replacing them with systems that oppose the truth of God’s Word. We must ask ourselves: is Britain trading the Bible for Sharia?

The Importance of Building on God’s Word

The Bible gives us a clear picture of what happens when we build our lives and our nations on God’s truth:

Matthew 7:24–25
“Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”

John 8:32
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

2 Timothy 3:16–17
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

James 1:22–25
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

The Truth Sets Us Free

Some describe Islam as “the religion of peace,” but the spread we see across many nations suggests otherwise. The Bible, however, is the true source of peace — and it is God’s truth that sets us free. For more on this theme, see my related post:

Revival and the Call for Truth

At a time when our nation seems to be drifting from biblical values, we are also seeing signs of revival. God is still at work, and many people are turning back to Him. Read more about this in my post:
Revival Is Happening: A Move of God in Our Time.

Does a Multifaith Society Really Work?

Some argue that a multifaith society is the answer to peace and harmony. But is that truly the case? As Christians, we know that real peace comes only through Jesus Christ. I explore this question further here:
Does a Multifaith Society Really Work?.

A Call to Faith

If you are not a Christian, let me share this with you. Jesus died a painful death on the cross so that we could have eternal life. He came to give us life more abundantly, while the enemy came only to steal and destroy. Today, you can receive this wonderful gift of eternal life if you truly believe that He died and rose again for your sins.

If you’d like to make that decision, you can pray this simple prayer:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You as Lord and Saviour of my life. I repent of all my sins, and I ask You today to take over complete control of every aspect of my life. Amen.”

If you prayed that sincerely, then the Holy Spirit now lives within you, and you have received the wonderful gift of eternal life. Please feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions — I am here to help and encourage.
