Are You Hungering After God?

Today’s devotional asks a simple but searching question: Are you hungering after God? Nothing in this world can continually satisfy like His presence. When we seek Him, He meets us, fills us, and changes us from the inside out.

Key Scriptures

Matthew 5:6 — “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”

Isaiah 55:1–2 — “Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good.”

John 4:13–14 — “Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water, springing up into everlasting life.’”

Isaiah 11:6 — “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.”

Only God Truly Satisfies

We all know the pull of things that promise satisfaction yet fade quickly. By contrast, the presence of God refreshes again and again. He invites us to come without money and without price. Jesus has already paid—this is the gift of grace made available through the finished work of the Cross.

Living Water That Never Runs Dry

Worldly content may entertain for a moment, but the Word of God and anointed messages carry living water. You can return to them repeatedly and find fresh life because the Holy Spirit makes them a fountain springing up to everlasting life.

A Picture of Peace

Isaiah’s vision of the wolf dwelling with the lamb points to the wholeness and reconciliation of God’s kingdom. We taste this peace even now as we seek Jesus and walk in His presence—He changes the atmosphere of our hearts and homes.
