The word evangelism comes from the Greek word euangelion, which means “good news.” At its core, evangelism is the act of proclaiming the gospel—the message that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners, to offer forgiveness, and to bring eternal life to all who believe in Him.
Evangelism isn’t just for pastors or missionaries. It’s the call of every Christian:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15 (NKJV)
From sharing a quiet testimony with a neighbour to boldly preaching in public spaces, evangelism takes many forms—but the message remains the same: Jesus saves.
In a world marked by confusion, fear, and moral decay, the message of the cross is more urgent than ever. The UK—and the world—needs to hear the truth that hope is not found in politics, money, or personal success, but in the person of Jesus Christ.
Many today have never heard the true gospel. Some have been fed watered-down messages, while others have been misled by false gospels that focus on self-help or prosperity. Evangelism is the way we bring people back to the foundation of biblical truth: repentance, faith, grace, and salvation through Christ alone.
You don’t need a pulpit or a microphone to be an evangelist. You just need a heart that’s willing to obey. Whether it’s handing out a gospel tract, sharing your personal testimony, or praying for someone in public, the opportunities are endless.

Every great revival in history has started with bold proclamation. We cannot expect our communities to change if the gospel is not preached. It’s time for Christians to step out in faith and stand for truth, no matter the cost.
