Today I found a nice picture of a traditional English church and added the title insanity! Sadly, the Church of England sings to be making some very strange decisions at the moment. These decisions do not line up with Scripture; I’m afraid to say that if it doesn’t line up with Scripture, it will not work!
Twitter Posts
I was looking at Twitter earlier and I carried out a search using the words “Church of England”. As you can see, there are several posts that do not line up with Scripture. Nigel Farage said, “Church of England will consider using gender-neutral terms for God. They could even remove “father” from the Lord’s prayer, nonsense”! And he is 100% right! There is more from the Church of England, I will not even take the time to read out as it doesn’t line up with Scripture.
In another post from GB news, it mentions, “it demonstrates the arrogance of this generation they should seek to rewrite history by backdating God as they/them, they have lost the plot”!
Here we have another headline, in The Guardian; it’s not a newspaper that I take seriously; it’s not a paper that I want to read. However, their headline is “Church of England to consider use of gender-neutral terms for God”.
And then in the Daily Telegraph, another headline which says, “Gender neutral God to be considered by Church of England”. I did not read the article as it is just utter nonsense and does not line up with Scripture; I can think of much better things to read! It is very sad and very disappointing from the Church of England. I know for a long time, they have had some funny ways. If something doesn’t line up with Scripture, then you can’t do it; it just doesn’t work!
The Lord’s Prayer
Let’s take a look at the Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6; it reads, how can anyone think of changing the words the Lord’s prayer!?
“Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
[d]For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
I think the biggest problem is that here in John 3:3, it is talking about being born-again and Nicodemus asking about being born-again.
“3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born [a]again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
I can relate to the above Scripture as before I was born again, I could not see the kingdom of God, at all! I thought that Christianity was ridiculous, I could have said all sorts of things as I just didn’t understand Christianity and I didn’t have a born-again spirit! To me, it was just a history book about something that happened a long time ago and wasn’t relevant to today’s world.
However, once that born-again spirit comes to live inside you, things totally change and your outlook changes! When God puts his born-again spirit inside of us, our stinking thinking changes! In my case, it happened in a big way!
