Is Gaza Really Starving?

Is Gaza Starving?

Welcome to A Countryman’s View. In this blog post — based on my latest YouTube video — I ask the question: Is Gaza really starving, or are we being misled?

We’ve seen plenty of headlines lately, particularly in UK newspapers, claiming that Gaza is facing starvation. But are these reports entirely truthful? Or are we seeing the kind of media manipulation that’s become all too common?

Challenging the Narrative

I recently came across a tweet from Reverend Brett Murphy, who wrote:

“There’s plenty of food in Gaza. However, Hamas, the terrorist government of the district, refuses to distribute it adequately. Furthermore, a simple reverse image search reveals many of the photos of so-called starving Gazans are from other countries with real famine. And yet, the leftists lap up these lies as an excuse for more Jew-hatred and anti-Israel sentiment.”

So, I responded to him, saying, “That’s so true, Reverend Brett. I couldn’t agree with you more.”

I also understand that the UN has refused to distribute some of the food. There are reportedly 900 food trucks sitting at the border, rotting in the sun. It’s difficult to verify everything, but I always aim to cross-reference and check what’s really going on.

Media Bias?

Here are just some of the outlets pushing the starvation narrative: AP News, CNN, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, and the BBC. Based on past experience, I’m cautious about trusting these sources — they often appear to support the governing regime in Gaza and rarely question the official narrative.

Tamir Morag’s Statement

I saw a tweet from Tamir Morag, shared by Israeli Christian commentator Amir Tsarfati. Here’s a summary:

– Before the war: 73 trucks of aid entered Gaza daily.
– Today: 80 trucks are allowed in daily.
– Israel has sent over 70,000 trucks (1.5 million tons of aid) since the war began.
– Most aid is looted by Hamas.
– Famine images often show thin children next to healthy adults — which raises questions.
– UN refuses to distribute over 900 approved trucks now rotting at Gaza’s borders.
– Egypt keeps the border closed, while Israel allows Gazans to leave.
– “There is no famine in Gaza. There are hostages in Gaza.”

These are strong claims — and they demand serious thought.

The Imshin Videos

Amir Tsarfati recently interviewed Jacqui Peleg, also known as Imshin, in a video titled “What the World Wasn’t Supposed to See”. Originally just learning Arabic, Jacqui began watching day-to-day videos from Gaza and saw a totally different picture than what we see in the media — cafés, shopping centres, luxury apartments, and more.

She began documenting this on social media, timestamping the footage and providing clear evidence. She’s seen restaurants, markets, pizza shops, and even new cafés opening during the war. The claim of mass starvation doesn’t seem to align with what’s being filmed daily by Gazans themselves.

Underground Luxury

Amir also shared photos from Hamas tunnels showing how well the terrorists are living underground while the world is being shown carefully crafted narratives of desperation above ground.

Senior IDF officials have said:

“There is no hunger in Gaza. It’s not pleasant, but there is no hunger. The images of children are not famine-related but due to genetic conditions. This has happened every time there is a wave of fake news.”

What the Bible Says About Truth

Let’s take a moment to reflect on what the Bible — the Word of God — says about truth. Here are some relevant scriptures from the New King James Version (NKJV):

  • Proverbs 12:17 — “He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit.”
  • Proverbs 14:5 — “A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness will utter lies.”
  • John 8:32 — “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
  • Ephesians 5:11 — “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.”
  • Isaiah 5:20 — “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil…”
  • Psalm 52:2–4 — “Your tongue devises destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully…”
  • Proverbs 6:16–19 — “These six things the Lord hates… a lying tongue… a false witness who speaks lies…”

It’s essential that we seek and speak the truth, even when it’s inconvenient — and even when it goes against the mainstream narrative.

Would You Like to Know Jesus?

If you’re not yet a Christian, I want to share something important with you — the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Here’s a simple prayer you can say:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You as Lord and Saviour of my life. I repent of all my sins, and I ask You today to take over complete control of every aspect of my life. Amen.”

If you prayed that sincerely — that’s wonderful news. The Bible says we are born again by faith and receive the gift of eternal life.

Final Thoughts

Thank you for reading this post. Maybe not the most pleasant topic, but I believe it’s important to pursue the truth — even when it’s uncomfortable. There are many stories being told, but not all of them are true.
