Life – Here Today – Gone Tomorrow!

The title on my blog post and video today is Life – Here today – Gone tomorrow! In light of the tragic reports of Charlie Kirk’s death, many of us are reminded how quickly life can change. This post is not about politics or personalities; it is about the brevity of life and the certainty of eternity. Headlines pass. Souls do not. Today is an invitation to consider where we stand with God.

Life Is a Vapour

The Bible is clear about the shortness of our days: “For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away” (James 4:14, NKJV). Moses prays, “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12, NKJV). Wisdom begins when we face reality: life on earth is brief, and eternity is long.

Why Eternity Matters

Scripture tells us, “It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27, NKJV). The good news is just as clear: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, NKJV). Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life… whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die” (John 11:25–26, NKJV).

Where Do You Stand with God?

We are not saved by our good works or religious effort. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ—His death on the cross and His resurrection. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23, NKJV).

A Simple Prayer

If you are ready to turn to Christ, you can pray in your own words. Here is a simple guide:

Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You as Lord and Saviour of my life. I repent of my sins and believe that You died and rose again for me. Please take control of every area of my life. I receive Your forgiveness and the gift of eternal life. Amen.

Next Steps

  • Read the Gospel of John and ask the Lord to speak to you.
  • Pray daily and begin a simple habit of Bible reading.
  • Find a Bible-believing church that teaches the Scriptures and points to Jesus.
  • Share your decision with a mature Christian who can encourage you.
