NHS Recruits Islam!
NHS Recruits Islam!

The title of my video and blog post is, NHS recruits Islam. In this post, I reflect on a number of media reports discussing claims that the NHS Muslim Network circulated guidance for new Muslims and encouraged certain practices among staff. Whatever one makes of the headlines, my focus here is to contrast the shifting landscape of public life with the unchanging truth of God’s Word.

What the reports are saying

Several outlets have covered this story in different ways. Headlines have included references to a guide for new Muslims within the NHS, calls for allyship during Ramadan, and “reverse mentoring” schemes involving senior NHS leaders. As always, readers should evaluate primary sources carefully and weigh the claims made by each outlet.

My purpose is not to litigate every detail of the media coverage, but to offer a Christian response rooted in Scripture. As believers in Jesus Christ, we remember that God’s Word is our authority and our compass. It is truth that sanctifies, steadies, and sets us free.

The truth of God’s Word (NKJV)

Below are the Scriptures I shared, all quoted from the New King James Version (NKJV). Consider reading them aloud, meditating on them, and letting them frame your thinking as you navigate today’s headlines.

  • John 17:17 – “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”
  • Psalm 119:160 – “The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.”
  • Proverbs 30:5 – “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.”
  • 2 Timothy 3:16–17 – “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
  • Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
  • Psalm 19:7–8 – “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.”
  • Isaiah 40:8 – “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.”
  • John 8:31–32 – “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’”
  • Psalm 33:4 – “For the word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth.”
  • 1 Peter 1:24–25 – “Because ‘All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the Lord endures forever.’ Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.”

A simple prayer

If you are seeking the Lord and want to place your faith in Jesus Christ, you can pray sincerely:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You as Lord and Saviour of my life. I repent of my sins and ask You today to take complete control of every aspect of my life. Amen.”

If you prayed this from your heart, I encourage you to start reading the Bible daily, pray, and connect with a Bible-believing church.
