The title on my thumbnail for this video was, Sick and Tired of This World? A Biblical Response. This came about after a friend sent me a video from a Christian lady. She spoke honestly about how weary she feels with the state of the world.
I want to be clear from the outset. This is not an attack on her. From what I can see, she is promoting the gospel and clearly cares about the things of God. She has also built a substantial following, which is encouraging to see.
At the same time, I felt it was worth offering a biblical response. Many Christians will understand the feeling she described. Plenty of believers look around at the world today and feel exhausted by it.
There is a great deal of confusion in society. Evil is often called good, and truth is rejected. There is constant pressure, noise, and dishonesty. At times, it can feel as though common sense has disappeared altogether.
In Britain, this is especially noticeable. Changes in politics, culture, and public life are deeply troubling. It is not difficult to understand why some Christians feel detached from the spirit of the age.
When Christians Feel Weary
One of the strongest parts of the video was the honesty about losing motivation. The lady explained that she had found it difficult to keep making videos. This was despite believing that God had called her to do it.
That is something many people can relate to. Anyone involved in ministry, content creation, or daily responsibilities will understand this struggle. Sometimes we can feel drained simply from doing the same things repeatedly.
My Own Experience
From my own experience, making regular videos is not always easy. I run three YouTube channels, and there are times when the desire to keep producing content is not there. That does not necessarily mean anything spiritual is happening. In many cases, it simply means we are tired.
Feelings are real, but they are not always reliable. This is why it is so important to stay grounded in Scripture. The Bible gives us a much steadier foundation than our emotions or circumstances.

Occupy Until Jesus Comes
The key point I wanted to make is simple. Whatever is happening in the world, believers are still called to keep going. Jesus told His followers to occupy until He comes.
This means we do not withdraw and we do not give up. We continue to stand for truth and share the gospel. We carry on with the work God has given us.
This world is not our home, and Christians are called to live separately from its spirit. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly clear that society is declining both morally and spiritually. Even so, the answer is not to become passive. We are here for a reason, and there is still work to be done.
Evangelism matters now more than ever. If the time really is short, there is even more reason to tell people about Jesus Christ. There is still time, and people still need to hear the gospel.

Evangelism section of this website, where I share content on preaching and witnessing.
Not Of The World, But Still In It
Christians need to maintain a clear balance. We are not to be shaped by the world. At the same time, we are not meant to withdraw from it completely.
If we completely detach from unbelievers, they will never hear the gospel. The Lord has left His people here for a purpose. We are meant to shine as lights in a dark place.
I do not fully agree with the idea that a loss of motivation means we are about to leave the earth at a specific time. The Bible tells us to be watchful and ready. It also tells us that no one knows the exact day or hour.
We can recognise the season, but we should not make claims that Scripture does not support. A better response is to remain faithful and keep serving. That is far stronger than becoming inwardly withdrawn.
The World Is Dark, But God Is Still Saving People
It was suggested in the original video that nothing in this world is redeemable anymore. I understand the feeling behind that statement, but it is not the full biblical picture.
The world system is indeed corrupt and broken. However, God is still at work. People are still hearing the gospel, and lives are still being changed.
Some of the most encouraging signs today come from younger people showing interest in the Christian faith. I touched on this in my
Church of England articles, including posts about increased attendance among younger generations.
We should not ignore the darkness, but we should not ignore what God is doing either. Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came to give life in abundance. That truth still stands today.
Britain Needs Christians Who Will Stand
We are living in a nation that urgently needs biblical truth. There is confusion in government, education, media, and everyday life.
In this kind of environment, it would be easy to give up. However, this is exactly when Christians need to stand firm and speak clearly.

Panic, surrender, and bitterness will not help. What we need is truth, prayer, courage, and the gospel.
Are You Ready?
This is the most important question. We can talk about the state of the world, but it all comes back to something personal. Are you ready to meet the Lord?
Christians should live with the expectation that Jesus is coming again. This is part of our hope. At the same time, this expectation should lead us to live faithfully, not withdraw from life.
If you are not right with God, do not put it off. The answer is Jesus Christ. He died for our sins and rose again. He offers forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe.

Final Thoughts
I understand why many believers feel tired of this world. Some days feel overwhelming, and the direction of society can be frustrating to watch.
Even so, the response remains the same. Keep going. Stay close to the Lord and keep your eyes on Jesus. Speak the truth and stand firm in your faith. Continue sharing the gospel and remain faithful until He comes.
Above all, make sure you are ready.
