The title of my devotional today is, Transformation! In this Christian devotional, we reflect on how the Spirit of God transforms hearts, minds, and lives — from biblical examples like Moses and Paul to modern testimonies of freedom and new life.
Seeing the Kingdom: The New Birth
Before I was born again, I could not grasp what Jesus meant in John 3:3. But when I received the new birth, everything changed — my understanding, my desires, and my direction. The Holy Spirit opens our eyes, leading us into truth and helping us see God’s kingdom at work.
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3, NKJV)
From Headstrong to Meek: The Transformation of Moses
Moses was naturally strong-willed, yet God formed him into a man marked by humility and dependence on the Lord. True meekness is strength under God’s control.
Now the man Moses was very meek, above all men who were on the face of the earth. (Numbers 12:3, NKJV)
From Persecutor to Apostle: The Transformation of Paul
Saul of Tarsus zealously opposed the early church, dragging believers to prison. Then Jesus met him, and everything changed. Paul’s confession in Galatians 2:20 shows the essence of transformation: Christ living in us.
As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison. (Acts 8:3, NKJV)
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20, NKJV)
A Modern Testimony of Freedom
Recently I spoke with a man who had battled alcohol for years. He went through a long, difficult process, but when he was born again and welcomed the Holy Spirit’s work in his life, he was transformed. He has been free for many years. This is just one example of what Jesus still does today: He sets captives free and gives new life.
How Transformation Begins
Transformation is not self-improvement; it is new life from God. If you are seeking change, hope, and abundant life, turn to Jesus. Ask Him for the new birth and invite the Holy Spirit to lead you into truth. The same Lord who changed Moses and Paul can change you.
If you would like prayer or have questions about starting a relationship with Jesus, please leave a comment. I am here to encourage and help.
