UK – Experiments To Dim The Sun

In this blog post and video I want to talk about experiments to dim the sun and why we shouldn’t be doing it. The UK government experiments to block sunlight have sparked serious concerns. Discover what’s happening, why it matters, and what the Bible says about it. Recently, I came across a series of tweets that caught my attention—concerning plans by the UK government to experiment with dimming the sun. Yes, really. One tweet by David Vance summed it up perfectly:

“UK Government: Let’s see if we can dim the sun.”

And, “UK Government: Let’s spend billions on solar power.”

It’s a strange contradiction. And it’s not just social media reacting—mainstream outlets like the Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph are also reporting on this. According to their articles, field trials involving aerosols or cloud brightening could begin soon, with £50 million allocated for research under the UK’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA).

Why Are We Trying to Block the Sun?

These plans are aimed at fighting climate change, but many are questioning the logic—and the risks. Blocking sunlight sounds like the plot of a dystopian novel. People are rightly asking: if we rely on solar energy, why would we consider reducing sunlight?

One tweet put it plainly:

“We are technically still in the Ice Age, and these people want to block our main source of life. More people die from cold than heat.”

The idea of deliberately manipulating the climate—geoengineering—is not just controversial. It’s dangerous. Last winter in the UK was one of the dullest I can remember, and even Mediterranean countries like Greece and Spain have had unusually gloomy weather.

What Does the Bible Say?

For those of us who believe in God, there’s great comfort in knowing that man does not have the final say. The Holy Bible gives us clear guidance:

In Genesis 1:27, it says:

“God created male and female.”

And in Genesis 8:22, God promises:

“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”

Politicians and influencers like Bill Gates would do well to reflect on these verses. When Noah was building the ark for 120 years, people mocked him—but he was following God’s instruction.

In this modern world, it often feels like we’re watching similar madness unfold. But God is still in control. His promises still stand.
Trust in the Lord, Not in Man-Made Solutions.

Here are a few more Bible verses that offer reassurance:

1 Peter 5:6–7

“Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

Psalm 91:5–6

“You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”

Philippians 4:6–7

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Are You Ready for His Return?

Maybe you’re not a Christian and you’re wondering what this all means. Well, Jesus came to bring life—and life abundantly. He came to give eternal life to those who believe in Him.
If you want that eternal life, you can receive it today. All you have to do is turn from your wrong ways and believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again.

Here’s a simple prayer you can say:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You as Lord and Saviour of my life. I repent of all my sins and ask You today to take complete control of every aspect of my life. Amen.”
If you prayed that prayer and meant it with all your heart, then welcome to the family of God.

Final Thoughts

This world may be chaotic, and the headlines may be confusing—but the Word of God is constant. He created the heavens and the earth, and He will sustain it until the return of Jesus. Watch the full video above for more thoughts on this important topic.
