Today, the title on my thumbnail reads Critics versus Compassion. You can see my previous blog post that questions the starvation situation in Gaza
I saw this tweet recently from Adam Brooks. Adam Brooks works for GB News, and he often talks a lot of common sense on Twitter, to be fair. He said:
“Mental illness is clearly a serious problem among these Stand Up For Racism protesters. They have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. They genuinely believe that they are the good guys. It is actually really scary.”
I kind of know where he’s coming from. So many people stand up for various causes, but they seem to be there just to look fashionable or to be part of something, without really knowing the root cause of the problem. It’s rather sad, because if we’re protesting, we ought to know a little about what we’re standing for.
I also came across a tweet from the Reverend Brett Murphy, who talks a lot of common sense — and biblical sense as well. He wrote:
“Simply labeling those coming in small boats as ‘invaders,’ ‘refugees,’ or ‘asylum seekers,’ as lefties do in an attempt to legalize their claims to illegally entering the UK, does not justify their presence here.”
Exactly. These people don’t belong here. The citizens of Britain were never asked in a referendum if they would accept hundreds of thousands of mostly fighting-age, unvetted Muslim men into our country. This deceptive pity-party narrative is falling apart as ordinary people in the UK are waking up to the ramifications of what’s being forced upon them.
Now, before I go any further, I want to make something clear: I’m all for protecting people who are genuinely fleeing from a war-torn country. That’s a different matter. But these men coming across in dinghies do not share our Christian values and have no intention of doing so. They’re just coming to take from the country.
Immigration is not the problem when it’s genuine. If someone comes in who truly wants to help the country, who loves our values, and who contributes, that’s totally different. But what we’re seeing now is something else entirely.
The Epping Protest and Stand Up For Racism
I looked up “Stand Up For Racism” and saw several tweets about the protest in Epping. One reported:
“As quickly as they arrived, the Stand Up To Racism rent-a-mob left. They were outside the Bell Hotel in Epping for approximately 50 minutes, then back to the tube station to wherever they came from — not here.”
Another said:
“I attended the Epping protest by popular demand, and what I saw was absolutely insane. Everything from both sides was physically peaceful — no fights, no vandalism, no wreckage. But aside from the fact the left only turned up to the designated location for 30 minutes, it was the way they contradicted themselves continuously that shocked me the most. Violent chants, nasty slurs, disgusting hand gestures — all in the supposed name of ‘Our Streets’ and ‘Don’t Let the Far Right Divide Us.’ Yet everything they did was divisive. They flew every flag except the English and British flags. They repeated buzzwords from the media, screamed abuse, and even disposed of their placards, which were collected by one person and pulled into the back of a van — to be used at the next counter-protest. This reinforced the idea that many of these people are paid actors who are lent equipment on the basis they return it at the end.”
Overall, it was a strange experience. The counter-protest ended up being irrelevant at the very place it was supposed to matter. The question remains: what do you think?
Britain’s Immigration Reality
Personally, I agree with a lot of this. Many of these people seem like rent-a-mob protesters, doing it for the sake of doing it, rather than facing the truth. We are a relatively small and densely populated country. We don’t have the funds to keep bringing in men who do not share our ways or our Christian values, and who contribute nothing to the economy. It simply can’t continue. Yet our government seems determined to allow it.
I also saw a tweet from David Vance:
“This is sickening. Small boat crossings up 52%. And Trump swallows the lies from Starmer.”
It reported that Donald Trump greeted Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria at Trump Turnberry in Scotland, congratulating him for taking a strong stance on immigration. But I’ve yet to see any real action. Let’s hope that changes, but I’m not holding my breath.
Standing Firm as Christians
Since this is a Christian channel, I’d like to share a few scriptures on loving others, but also standing firm and not being walked over.
Ephesians 6:13-14
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness.”
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”
Galatians 5:1
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”
Philippians 1:27
“Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.”
2 Thessalonians 2:15
“Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.”
1 Peter 5:8-9
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”
A Prayer for Salvation
Maybe you’re listening today and you’re not yet a Christian. I prayed a prayer many years ago that changed my life. If you pray it sincerely and turn away from your sin, you can be born again — given a brand-new life, with a guarantee of heaven and so much more.
Here’s the prayer:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You as Lord and Savior of my life. I repent of all my sins, and I ask You today to take complete control of every aspect of my life. Amen.”
If you said that prayer and meant it, you have been born again, and the Spirit of God now lives within you.
