The title on my thumbnail picture is “Bristol University drops National anthem”! I was looking at a tweet earlier today from Adam Brooks, his tweet mentioned about Bristol University banning the offensive national anthem! His tweet reads, “If you find our national anthem offensive, you an utter joke, grow up!” And, to my mind, Adam is 100% right!
I then went and had a look on the mainstream media to see if I could find this story, and sure enough, it’s in the Daily Telegraph. The good news is that ministers are saying how ridiculous the University is being. Oliver Dowden mentioned that if Bristol University is ashamed of their British heritage, maybe they no longer require funding!
It’s rather sad that universities were designed to teach and train people for the future to a very high level. It just seems now that so many other universities have just gone so woke!
I was looking at a post from Amir Tsarfati earlier; the post reads; “New report by ISGAP: Qatar 🇶🇦, the main funder of Hamas, is also the leading funder of American universities. This explains why Harvard, MIT, Penn and many other top US universities have turned into Hamas mouthpieces.”
Thankfully, to all this nonsense that is going on in the world, there is a hope! We need to put our hope in the creator of this earth, as I believe that we are seeing many signs that are taking us towards the end times.

On my thumbnail picture, I have a photograph of Bristol University, and the headline is “Bristol University drops national anthem.” Yesterday, I was reading this post from Adam Brooks on Twitter, and it says, “If you find a national anthem offensive, you’re an utter joke. Grow up.” It mentions that Bristol University banned the ‘offensive’ national anthem from the graduation ceremony. I checked it up, and sure enough, it’s in the Telegraph with the same headline. Ministers are attacking this as a ridiculous and unpatriotic decision. I’m glad to hear that people are asking for a bit of common sense, but it’s hard to believe that universities are coming out with this sort of nonsense. They are supposed to educate youngsters, but it seems like they’re not being educated in the right way, which is very sad.
National Anthem Banned
Reading further, it mentions the dropping of the national anthem and that a student used to lead a rendition after certificates had been handed out to graduates. However, this has not taken place since last year, as reported by The Sun. The national anthem is now only played when a representative of the royal family is present. The university said that ministers have condemned the university’s decision, which is good news. They can see the stupidity in it. Oliver Dowden, the Deputy Prime Minister, tweeted, “If Bristol University is too ashamed of their British heritage, presumably they no longer want to be subsidized by the British taxpayer.” Jillian Keegan, the education secretary, says this is ridiculous. Universities should stand up for British values and stop giving in to woke ideology.
It also mentions that some students find the anthem offensive, not relevant to the younger generation, and that the tradition of singing it seemed old-fashioned. Suki Yun, a 22-year-old computer science student, added that students come from all sections of society and that the university probably thinks the national anthem may be offensive to some of them. I think that if you go to someone else’s country, you shouldn’t find their national anthem offensive. It’s just ridiculous. I go to Greece quite a bit, where my wife comes from, and you know, we see lots of that heritage and traditions, which is nice. It’s good to see how other countries do things and respect it, but it doesn’t seem like these universities can now.
University Funding
This morning, I was reading from Amir, and it said a new report by ISGAP, the main funder of Hamas, is also leading the funder of American universities. This explains why Harvard, MIT, Penn, and many other top U.S. universities have turned into Hamas mouthpieces. We’ve seen how some of our universities have behaved with the Black Lives Matter movement and all that sort of thing. It’s very sad because traditionally, a university is somewhere where someone gets their education, but it seems like they are being indoctrinated with the wrong things.
Good News
But the good news is, if you’re a Christian, we know that this sort of thing is going to happen. Common sense is going to go out the window, and people will be lovers of themselves, etc. So, I just thought I’d look at a few scriptures. Let’s look at Psalm 32, verse 9: “Do not be like the horse or like the mule.” I remember when I used to go horse riding, and we had a bit in the horse’s mouth. Different horses took more stopping than others, but I always think it’s hard if you’ve got to put something in an animal’s mouth to try and stop it. With a dog, you sort of talk to it, and you train it, but with a horse, you need to do it by force, really. The Bible is saying, “Do not be like the horse or like the mule,” and that is so true.
Then, if we move into Proverbs 3, verse 21: “My son, let them not depart from your eyes; keep sound wisdom and discretion.” It’s so good to have wisdom and biblical knowledge and common sense. Just be careful what we do. Then, if we go back to Proverbs 26, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.” I agree, when we know Jesus, and we have the Holy Spirit empowering us, he can give us unforeseen things and what’s coming almost. This comes when we say yes to Jesus; we gain knowledge. I know when I was an unbeliever, I didn’t know that much, but it seemed like when I looked at things from a Christian perspective, which may sound funny to an unbeliever, my knowledge seemed to increase. The Holy Spirit can genuinely do that, and it’s a wonderful thing.
So, Let’s Look At Proverbs 28:26
“He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks wisely will be delivered.” It’s good to be wise. Sometimes it’s good to get a second opinion, and we have that weapon of prayer where we can speak to God and talk to him and ask him things, which is wonderful. The final scripture, 1 Corinthians 15:33: “Do not be deceived: Evil company corrupts good habits. Awake to righteousness and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.” I remember when I first became a Christian, I had to keep away from some of my old friends. Not that they were evil, but they weren’t living the life that I wanted to start living. So, it’s important to get around people with good habits. Obviously, we need to be out there for the world because people need to know the good news of Jesus, but it’s important who we hang out with. It’s good to hang out with good people and the right people for the right reasons.
Only Believe
Now, maybe you’re listening to this and wondering why the world’s going so mad, but it’s all been predicted in the Bible. Thankfully, there is a way out. If you’re not a Christian and you would like to be one and have the gift of eternal life and much more that Jesus offered, I’ve got a prayer here that you can say after me. If you genuinely mean it, it means you will be born again and given the gift of eternal life. The prayer reads: “Lord Jesus, I acknowledge you as Lord and Savior of my life. I repent of all my sins, and I ask you today to take over complete control over every aspect of my life. Amen.” As I said, if you said that prayer and you meant it, it does mean you’ve been given the gift of eternal life. But it’s also important, whether you are a new or old Christian, to read the Bible. I’m reading from Bible Gateway here. There are many resources online and on phone apps that you can use, but this is my preferred one. But it’s also good to get into church and a small group because small groups help to bring you on, and they also help to grow friendships and increase your Christian walk quicker. Just make sure you get in a small group and a church that teaches the whole gospel, the true gospel, not a watered-down gospel. If you got any questions on this video, I’m here to help. Thank you very much for watching.
