Today in the video, I want to talk a little bit about end times and how people will become offended. The Bible says that in the last days, people will become offended and lovers of themselves. I use Twitter quite a bit for business and to find out what’s happening in the world. Over the last few months, Twitter has considerably improved due to Elon Musk taking over the platform.
I thought I would put the word offence into Twitter search to see what sort of results came up. The first result I noticed was from saving our statues where they wanted to change a name of a road in London. I guess many of the road names in London go back hundreds of years. Is it possible that people can become offended over a road name! Or at least I would like to think not.
I then found another Tweet that said that very few people were offended by the road name. It’s nice to see common sense prevailing for a change!
The Scripture in Matthew 24:10 – 14 talks about people becoming offended and betraying one another and will hate one another. So it is something that we are expected to see in the last days. We can also see in Proverbs 18:19 That a brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, quite strong words!

Here is the Scripture from Matthew 24:10 – 14, which reads.
10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
I believe that people are talking about many things that don’t actually exist. However, if people keep talking about something over and over again, some people start to see it as truth. I’m thankful that, as a Christian, the Bible tells us what will happen to the world. So, if we are rooted in Christ, we have nothing to fear! Eventually, the world will end and there will be a new earth and new heavens created! That sounds rather exciting to me, everything to be made new!
I’m all for looking after the world and doing things well, I like to see homes and gardens that are well kept and well kept countryside. We have to be wise about these things, we have resources like coal and oil, which I believe God has put on this planet for us to benefit from.
The Bible talks about people who will grow cold and that lawlessness will abound, this is exactly what we are seeing now. We are seeing signs of the end times where people will become offended. Incidentally, the heading where we are reading from is entitled, “the signs of the times and the end of the age”! So Christians who believe and endure to the end, will be saved, that is absolutely fantastic news!
Have you noticed that the Scripture says the kingdom will be preached to all the world, not to all the people?. I used to think that it meant everyone would have the opportunity to hear the gospel personallyl. However, I now believe that the gospel will be preached to all the countries rather than every individual human being.
Over the years, many missionaries have travelled abroad, to various places around the world. Many of them did not expect to return home and they didn’t, they died as martyrs! We are now living in an age where so many people can be reached that couldn’t be reached only a few years ago. We have television that can reach many people and of course, more and more countries are going online. So, this is another fantastic way to reach people and to tell them the good news of the gospel.
The Day And The Hour Is Unknown
I believe that we are living in an age where Jesus could return at any time. Much of the prophecy has been fulfilled in the Bible, so we need to be ready for his return. Bible does say that the day and the hour is unknown; however, there will be signs that Jesus is coming soon..
