Why The West Is Failing Israel In The Fight Against Terror

Why the West Is Failing Israel in the Fight Against Terror

Today, I want to talk about why the West is failing Israel in its fight against terror. This is a serious issue, both politically and spiritually, and it’s something we need to look at through the lens of truth — and more importantly, through the lens of Scripture.

The West’s Response to Israel

Recently, I saw a tweet from David Vance which said:

“Israel and India stand on the front line of the war against terrorism, but the West lacks the moral strength to support them.”

While I believe the United States continues to support Israel, much of Europe — and in particular the UK — seems to be stepping back. That struck me even before I read the tweet. I had glanced at the BBC website (I don’t trust it, but I do check headlines), and here’s what I saw:

  • UK steps up action against Israel over Gaza offensive
  • Gaza aid yet to reach civilians, UN says
  • BBC Verify examines Israeli strikes as minimal aid enters Gaza

Whenever I see BBC Verify, I take it with a pinch of salt. Not always, but generally, I find it biased and far from accurate — more propaganda than reporting.

Biased Headlines and Political Moves

One article said the UK had suspended trade talks with Israel, summoned Israel’s ambassador, and imposed sanctions on West Bank settlers. This came as Foreign Secretary David Lammy called Israel’s military action in Gaza “morally unjustifiable.”

This pressure on Israel follows warnings of starvation in Gaza. However, what the headlines don’t tell you is that 93 trucks carrying aid entered Gaza — and 11 were robbed by armed Hamas gangs. We never hear this part of the story from mainstream media.

A More Balanced View

I often refer to Amir Tsarfati, an Israeli Christian who reports frequently on Israel and the Middle East. He shares updates on Telegram and on his platform Behold Israel. I’m not saying he gets everything right, but he often provides the side of the story that mainstream outlets won’t.

Parliamentary Debate and David Lammy’s Position

There were sharp exchanges in Parliament. Dame Priti Patel said the UK’s actions would be welcomed by Hamas. Meanwhile, others called for the government to go even further.

Israel’s foreign ministry responded by saying external pressure will not divert them from defending their existence — and rightly so.

David Lammy, however, supports a two-state solution. While this might sound nice on paper, it’s not biblical. The land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people. The Bible makes that clear.

What Does the Bible Say?

We must stand on biblical truth, not political spin. Here are a few key scriptures:

2 Timothy 3:1–5

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves… having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away.

Genesis 12:1–3

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Psalm 122:6–9

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls…”

Zechariah 2:8

“He who touches you touches the apple of His eye.”

Ezekiel 36:24

“For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”

Are We Seeing Prophecy Unfold?

The return of Jews to Israel is a prophetic sign. We’re seeing it happen. The Bible tells us this would take place in the last days. And as we turn on the news, it’s hard to ignore the biblical signs all around us.

We also see emotional claims in the media — for example, a viral statement that “14,000 babies will die in 48 hours” if aid doesn’t get through. But where’s the evidence for these figures? As David Vance pointed out, they need to show the maths — not just throw numbers out for impact.

I’m not saying Israel is perfect. But the Bible is clear: if we bless Israel, we will be blessed. If we turn our backs, there are consequences.

A Message to Non-Christians

Maybe you’re reading this and you’re not a Christian. Perhaps you’re confused by what’s happening in the world or you’re searching for truth. I want to share something that changed my life many years ago — a simple prayer.

If you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again, and you are willing to turn away from wrongdoing, then you can receive the gift of eternal life.

Here’s a prayer you can say:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I acknowledge You as Lord and Saviour of my life.
I repent of all my sins and ask You today to take full control of every area of my life.
Thank You for dying for me and rising again.
I receive Your gift of eternal life. Amen.

If you prayed that and meant it, please let me know in the comments. I’d love to encourage you further. You can also visit the Change Your Life page for more guidance.

Final Thoughts

We are living in uncertain times, and truth is harder to find than ever. As believers, we need to stand for Israel, stand for truth, and stand firm in God’s Word.

Let’s not be misled by propaganda. Let’s look at things through a biblical lens and always seek the truth.
